Howdy!

We have spent the past weekend in the amazing southwest of France, Gers where our trip first began in 2010. So much has happened since. Its incredible!
Last time we were here was almost exactly a year ago, when we recorded all the vocals for our debut album. Though then it was about -5 Celsius inside, now its a bit warmer and sunnier!

There´s been a new addition to the family : a beautiful foal! We have never witnessed something like that before, waaa! Now, only few days after its birth the foal and its mother are happily running in the green fields.

Manu’s dad Jean Laudic and Anne Gouyon organize camps for kids during summer and if you want to learn more about their project and what happens in their farm you Should really follow their blog L´Aube du Chêne, here http://www.laubeduchene.fr/ and drop them a comment 🙂

Here are some pictures I took with my phone, just so you get a little touch of how it is here at the moment

Last show tonight Toulouse !

22 Sep

Hello !

Here is a quick post before we hit the road to Toulouse for our last gig tonight. We did about 800 kms in the past 3 days and played an amazing show in Bordeaux with Ben & Lulu (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ben-le-Jukebox/141569745877053?sk=wall) last tuesday at El Chicho.

This trip has been so refreshing, sun has been shinning and yesterday we spent the day at Lacanau-Beach which is THE surf spot in France. What an awesome day, playing with the waves skateboarding and eating burgers. I’m not gonna lie, this trip is AMAZING!!! Did i mention we have some crazy videos? haha wait for it 🙂

There is so much to say and i wish i had enough time to write it all down right now… So, while you wait for the whole story here is a video from our show in Bordeaux. A song called “Stars”:

Thanks to Marie Esbert and her awesome blog (http://k0waiii.blogspot.com/2011/09/eva-manu-french-tour.html?spref=fb) for this video.

How to make Bread in 3 minutes – Chapati –

13 Jan

Hey,

We just arrived to a new farm yesterday in South France, close to Orange. Like we said we will now start putting on recipes we’ve learnt on our trip.
This first one is a recipe we got from Alba, Italy. We asked our host for some bread and she showed us how to make our own in 5 minutes. Well it is actually more like Naan bread, it’s flat and Soooo Easy to do… they call it Chapati.

For about 12 Chapati, you need :

-Flour (250g or 2 cups)
-Olive Oil or butter (2 or 3 tablespoons)
-Warm water
-Salt to taste

Take a large bowl. Pour in the flour and then make a hole in the middle. Put the Olive Oil or the previously warmed butter and the salt. You need to put quite a lot, as you like. Then add warm water little by little while you stir. It needs to look like a paste that holds together!
Then simply cut pieces and flat them on the table using your hands or an empty bottle. It is best to roll them in Flour so they won’t stick.
Get your pan hot and dispose the flat bread on it without any oil, wait until it cooks to change side and it’s ready to be eaten.
You should be able to do quite a lot of them. It’s easy and very fast.

TIP : Add some Spices, like Curry or Herbe de Provence, Thyme whatever you like !

Here is our video that explains everything !
Stay tuned for the Week 11 video coming out this week end and for more goodies !!

With love,

Eva and Manu
